|
|
| Well we have favorite 7 weight fly rod and favorite fly reel so why not have one about the line as well. Personally the 2 latest lines I have used is the Rio Nymph Fly line and the Rio Steelhead & Atlantic Salmon fly line. I would have to say I like the Nymph better for smaller rivers where any long distance mending and casting is not an issue and the Steelhead & Atlantic salmon line for bigger rivers where some more long distance fishing is done... |

scientific anglers mastery series steelhead taper is my fav. on the 8 wt.
smaller water lines include the SA nymph 5wt, SA GPX 3wt, and cortland 555 rocket taper 5wt for streamers...
so far i like the rio windcutter spey very easy to mend and cast for a beginner but i wish the head was about 20' longer
that rod you got is a nice piece definately out of my price range |

| Both the lines I mentioned are floating due to the fact as of right now I have not messed around with much swinging streamer and other sinking line applications. If you have a favorite sink tip or full sink line you would like to mention by all means let us know about it... |
