The purpose of these regulations is to provide a code of conduct for your use of the bulletin boards and chat areas on The Steelhead Site (TSS). Register to become a member by following this link.

1. Conduct. You may use TSS bulletin boards and chat areas for lawful purposes only and you may not transmit messages which are threatening, abusive, defamatory, vulgar, obscene or otherwise objectionable. You may not transmit messages which encourage conduct that constitutes a criminal offense or infringe upon the publicity or privacy rights or any other rights of any person or party. If you engage in any conduct which might, in TSS's opinion, inhibit or restrict any other user's enjoyment of the bulletin boards or chat areas or violate the above restrictions, TSS may remove your posting and/or cancel your access to these areas of TSS. TSS, in its sole discretion, shall have the right to determine whether messages are in violation of these guidelines.
2. Ownership of Messages. By posting messages on the bulletin boards or chat areas, you are granting TSS a royalty free, perpetual, non-exclusive and irrevocable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform and display any posting by you (in whole or in part) worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media or technology now known or hereafter developed.
3. No Advertisements. TSS's bulletin boards and chat areas are for discussion and debate. You may not use TSS's bulletin boards or chat areas to post or transmit advertisements or commercial solicitations of any kind, except as may be permitted in the Classifieds/Messages Section.
4. Proprietary Materials. You may not post or transmit any material of any nature, including, text, audio, software, animation or photographs, belonging to any person or party other than yourself, without the prior, written consent of such owner. Simply because material is available on the Internet does not mean it is in the public domain. The vast majority of materials on the Internet are protected by copyright and trademark laws. Also, the material available on TSS, including the bulletin boards and chat areas are protected by copyright, owned either by TSS or third party content providers and may not be disseminated by you without the consent of the copyright owner. You will be responsible for any damages resulting from any infringement of copyrights, trademarks, proprietary rights or any other harm resulting from your posting or transmission.
5. Monitoring. TSS will have the right but not the obligation, to monitor the content of the bulletin boards and chat areas. TSS may retain the services of independent contractors to perform these functions. TSS maintains the right, in its sole discretion, to edit, refuse to post or remove any material submitted to or posted on the bulletin boards or chat areas which TSS believes is (i) in violation these guidelines, or (ii) iffrelevant or outdated.
6. Names. You may select a name to use in connection with your postings on the bulletin boards and chat areas. However, you may not use a user name (or e-mail address) (i) with the intent of impersonating another person; (ii) belonging to another person without his or her consent; (iii) in violation of the intellectual property rights of any person; or (iv) that TSS deems to be offensive. Whenever you post, your message will be automatically marked with your TSS user name. You will also be able to enter a "handle" when you post, so that those of you accustomed to posting under distinctive or long phrases or names will still be able to do so.
7. Third Party Content; Products or Services. TSS distributes content supplied by third parties and users of the bulletin boards and chat areas. TSS neither endorses nor guarantees the accuracy of all views, opinions, advice or statements made on TSS. Products and services may be offered by third parties through advertisements that appear on TSS. TSS does not guarantee or endorse any products or services offered or sold and will not be responsible for any transactions between you and the seller.
8. Privacy. TSS collects no personally identifiable data about you, except that specifically and knowingly provided by you. Personally identifying information provided by you will be used only in connection with the TSS or for such other purposes as are described at the point of collection. Such information will not be transferred to any other parties unless otherwise stated at the time of collection. If you are a minor, please get your parents' approval before providing any personally identifying information. TSS will only use such information collected from children for the editorial participation and feedback purposes described at the point of collection and will not transfer such information to third parties. Althoug h TSS will endeavor to require third party content providers and other parties to adhere to TSS's privacy policies, TSS is not responsible for any actions or policies of any third parties.
9. Equipment. You will be responsible for obtaining all equipment necessary to access TSS, including computer hardware, modem and telephone charges and Internet access provider charges incurred.
10. Termination. Either TSS or you may elect to terminate the membership at any time.
